CH Spotlight | Here’s what MELODY FM DJ, Phoebe Yap loves about MK Curtain’s latest collection

A brand that combines quality, beauty and superb service, MK Curtain offers homeowners a truly stylish yet personalized touch to their homes. In this special feature, the founders take us through the heart of their brand while MELODY FM DJ, Phoebe Yap shares more about what she loves best about MK Curtain’s collection.

Synonymous with quality and style, MK Curtain, Malaysia’s leading curtains brand was built on many positive core values including confidence, honesty and gratitude. The letters in the company’s name, “MK”, are based on the abbreviations from “Moon”, which is the last name of its founder and group managing director, Datuk Calvin’s wife; and “Khiu” (his surname).

MK Curtain’s products have garnered many admirers, including MELODY FM DJ, Phoebe Yap, who selected its curtain set and window blinds to infuse her home with a heartfelt vibe of sophisticated ambiance. Indeed, Phoebe isn’t the only one who recognises the quality and elegance of MK Curtain’s products. This textile supplier has come a long way since its beginnings in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. Datuk Calvin and his wife’s “labour of love” has distributed and provided countless variants of curtains to private properties, government developments, education institutions and hotels. MK Curtain’s flourishing presence in this industry has enabled it to expand into other related businesses, which include the supply and retailing of window blinds, bed sheets, wallpapers, cushions, carpets and home decorations.

“I picked MK Curtain because they have a good reputation for delivering quality products. So I met up with their representatives and explained what I wanted for my home, and MK Curtain fulfilled my vision,” Phoebe said, adding that she was also impressed with the commitment of MK Curtain’s professional consultants, who constantly engaged in detailed décor discussions with the MELODY FM DJ despite her busy work schedule. “No matter how busy I was – wherever and whenever my work schedule required me to be – the MK Curtain consultants always managed to find time to discuss the type of curtains and blinds that I’ve visualised for my condominium.”

According to Phoebe, she found that MK Curtain curtain sets – with their flexible, adjustable combination of light drapes and heavy fabrics perfectly suit her space. “For my living room, I had planned to have curtains that let in plenty of light. MK Curtain provided me with a set that consists of light drapes with heavier silvery-brown fabrics. So it’s easy to adjust the brightness here. If I want to illuminate my living hall with natural light and sunshine, I’ll just pull back the heavy fabrics. When I need a shady tone and more privacy in my living room, the heavy curtains can cover up the light drapery,” the DJ explained.

For Phoebe’s master bedroom, she went for window blinds that ensure tranquility and privacy. As always, MK Curtain was more than able to meet her requirements. They provided a meticulously crafted woodbased set of window blinds that Phoebe was pleased with.

“It has always been MK Curtain’s priority to successfully complete our projects. However, we are also equally delighted when our customers are satisfied and pleased with the work we have done,” the MK Curtain Head of Marketing said.
